Chia Seeds
more than just another super seed!
Only 2 tbsp serving of chia offers:
  • Five times the omega-3 content of a 1/4-cup serving of walnuts
  • Twice the iron and magnesium of a cup of spinach
  • As much calcium as a half-cup of milk
  • More than twice the fiber of a cup of oatmeal
In my opinion it's a cutting edge must have supplement!
Flaxseeds
Tiny but mighty! Flaxseeds are loaded with heart healthy omega 3 fatty acid, a whole lot of B Vitamins and antioxidants that are even more powerful than Vitamin E.

Doesn’t end here guys.. It is one of my favorite ingredients because it is our best commercial source for “lignans” which help in balancing hormones out, better blood sugar management and support normal blood pressure.

And to make all these benefits bioavailable to you, I use the ground form. That way the nutrients get absorbed efficiently.
Almonds
Almonds are the only nut and one of the few proteins that are alkaline in nature.

When your body’s Acid alkaline balance is disturbed due to your stressful lifestyle, your risk for osteoporosis, poor immune function, low energy and weight gain is on the rise.

Throwing in some almonds as a quick snack in the day keeps your sugar levels stable, your mind sharper and hunger levels at bay.
Organic peanut butter
The PB I use here is organic, so I can make sure to keep each protein bake shop product trans fat free and of corse free of any kind of nasty sugars. It’s always going to be the crunchy version so you get more healthy fats from the whole nut. Just 2 tbsp gives you almost 8 gms of protein. This nut butter tastes great and is one of the perfect examples to explain the “ Eat fat to burn fat” theory. If you have high cholesterol levels, peanuts or organic peanut butter is a complete must have!

Yes, it is loaded with fat but in the form of healthy “ MUFA” fats, which are great for your heart and your waistline.
Coconut
Enzymes, vitamins, fiber and antioxidants! Coconuts are just so easy to digest, cause they contain a whole lot of enzymes so you don't have to draw from your pancreas. Same goes with the fat content of coconut, it is in the form on MCT’S! Without getting too technical, it is the kind of fat that gets digested really quickly and does not wait around to reach your stomach and thighs!

And if you think it raises your cholesterol levels, please catch up guys! Good Fat does not make you fat!
Coco powder
the antioxidant concentration in hot cocoa is almost twice as strong as red wine. Cocoa's concentration is two to three times stronger than that of green tea and four to five times stronger than that of black tea. If you are going to eat coco loaded with sugar and trans fat, good luck getting any of these benefits.

To get the best out of it, I use 100% unsweetened coco. Just the way mother nature intended it to be.
Coconut flour
Gluten free, extremely high in fiber so fills you up much faster, loaded with magnesium! It’s got a great texture so i’ve used it in many recipes in place of wheat. The alkaline nature and the protein content help in rejuvenation and cell growth. Plus it has fat in the form of lauric acid, which is a healthy saturated fat super essential for immune health.

It is also known to help promote healthy skin and thyroid health.
Almond flour
high in protein, low in carbs and sugars, excellent for diabetics. Tastes great in deserts.

It’s gluten free and is loaded with a not of nutrients specially calcium, magnesium and the anti ageing Vitamin E
Fresh banana
Bananas are a happy meal - high levels of tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin -- the happy-mood brain neurotransmitter. It’s a Great pre work out meal, the natural sugar gives you a kick of energy during workouts! high in potassium, low in sodium, helps relive muscle cramps.

And of corse tastes great in concoction with the other ingredients of PBS.
Dates
Adding refined sugar into any of these little babies, was NOT an option, so i’ve used fresh or dried local dates to add the sweetness. Too much of these is still bad so they’r perfectly balanced in order to give you the taste minus the guilt keeping the over all carbohydrate content from sugars very low.

Apart from being sweet they’ve got an impressive list of a whole lot of nutrients especially iron and potassium, they’re loaded with fibre and the antioxidant Vitamin A.
Honey
So apart from being a sweet treat, it has delicious nutritional benefits! It's a great alternative to refined white or even brown sugar. I try using Raw honey as much as possible cause of the added benefits. It has GI benefits, it’s high in antioxidants and has great anti inflammatory properties

What made me pick honey over Agave ( There has been way too much controversy over this off late) is that there are a whole lot of studies done on athletes that proves how honey has an ergogenic effect and improves their performance.
Cinnamon
Here’s a spice with unlimited benefits and way too much research to prove its greatness. Great for athletes, diabetics and weight loss. Cinnamon is an insulin mimicker, which means, it sort of does part of insulin’s job.

When you consume as little as 3 gms in the day, it can lower your blood sugar levels if you’re a diabetic, improve your insulin sensitivity and boost your metabolism to some extent.
70% coco chocolate chips
At PBS, we care about health and taste. The only form of refined sugar ever used in any product will be in this form. 70% coco has more nutrients versus regular dark chocolate.

More antioxidants=more benefits! It is not present in all of the stuff, just a few that needed some chocolate.

Coconut oil
Im sure you’ve heard of this new miracle oil! The oil is made up of around 90% saturated fat, 6% monounsaturated fat, and 3% polyunsaturated fat. Since over a year now, I’ve been cooking everything at home in coconut oil. It’s a proven metabolic booster, supports thyroid function and immune function. Enhances physical performance and hydrates your skin.

The best thing is it aids inch loss by balancing your hormones out. You’ve gotta use it consistently to see real changes.
Whey protein powder
I love snacks. I love chocolate. I love peanut butter. I love coconuts! So I took all of them to make these healthy treats and to give them that extra boost, I’ve added some whey protein into every one of them. Addition of whey protein improves the carbohydrate to protein ratio in every snack making it healthier than any other protein snack or healthy treats you’ll see on Dubai’s market shelves! You can use them as a mid snack or even a post workout meal!

I hate Aspartame, so PBS is free from this dangerous artificial sweetener, making your snack clean and lean at the same time!
Avocado
The more I talk about it, the more I can talk. In the case of avocados, more is less. If you are struggling with hormonal issues, have fat to lose and not so happy skin, 1 whole avocado a day is not just recommended but it's your prescription! Loaded with healthy fatty acids, nutrients and antioxidants. Delicious in salads, sandwiches, smoothies, dips, or just by itself.

If you like it by itself, then you should continue enjoying it just like that. But if you’ve never had it and wana make it fun, then you’ve gotta try it at PBS!
Walnuts
High in omega 3, b6 and a bit of protein! It can do a lot more than just giving you sharper memory! What adds them to the list of PBS ingredients are their low GI properties.

When you learn how to make your body more insulin sensitive, most issues related to weight, energy levels, cravings and metabolic disorders can be avoided.
